1. Shows you’re watching these days, since school’s been out:
- The Voice (I like the different rule of the competition. )
- White Collar
- Pretty Little Liars (I don't like it actually.)
2. Peripheral Shows--shows you watch because someone else in the house (significant other, parent, roommate) watches them:
- American Idol (The fans are so crazy but they did influence me to follow the competition.)
- Dancing With The Star (Since my friend's mother went to see the live of this show, she never stopped asking me to see it with her every episode!! )
- Big Bang Theory (I am totally confused about all physics in it but I love Sheldon! )
3. Guilty No-Gos--Shows you think you should watch (because critics like them or your friends like them) but don’t:
- Two and a Half Man
- Mad Man
- The Daily Show
4. Guilty Pleasures:
- Big Bang Theory
- Gossip Girls
5. All-Time Favorites-- shows you’ll watch in re-runs even though you’ve seen them many times before:
- Heros
- Lost

6. Shows I Used to Like, But Not So Much Anymore:
- Gossip Girls
- Grey's Anatomy
- True Blood
- Ugly Betty
- The Secret of Call Girl
- Bones

7. Shows I Resisted for a Long Time, But Now I’m a Fan!

And I am also watching Nikita now. I am kind of addict of detective shows such CSI and Lie to Me. Also I am used to be fan of reality shows but I hate them now. I am personally think they are boring and only media hypes. That's all. Hope all you guys have fan in summer !

Sweeeet wallpaper, Yingqi! I am in total agreement with your charcoal shows! Also, I watched Heroes religiously, then it started to go downhill at some point, and I remember feeling sad and then kinda angry that the producers were making these terrible decisions. I was like a player on the bench, yelling, "Send me in! I can fix this! I know what to do!" Then it died. I used to watch Big Love a lot, but then it ended. Not the same as "canceled," but I miss it. And--your friends' mom making you watch DWTS is hilarious. She must have a crush on Tom Bergeron (I detest his co-host so much that I yell at the screen when she speaks). I guess once you've seen something live, it becomes a real compulsion to see it represented on the screen. Some of our students were on the set of Cougar Town over Winter break, and now they can't stop watching the show!
ReplyDeleteI think this class all agrees on their #8's! I definitely agree with Family Guy not being good anymore, Sit com cartoons aren't nearly as engaging as Character Based ones. I mean like all comedies they're good for a few cheap laughs but Its the characters that keep you coming back for more and Family Guy fails to deliver non-stereotyped characters. The reason the Simpsons is still popular even though its as old as I am is because the characters are unique and memorable and their flaws drive the plot. Also Two and a Half men is way better then people give it credit for.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with The Voice. When I saw previews for it I was like OH NO!!! NOT ANOTHER SINGING SHOW!!! But I just recently watched it and I was really surprised by it. The concept is actually really cool. I like the fresh new take on the incredibly over-used singing competition.
